Season starts this Sat. I kicked the rocker on the #4 intake in the first practice session but didn't pull the valve cover to check so we loaded it up and went home. The track sucked and was covered with holes. Does anybody make some type of clip to hold the rockers on? Thats the 2nd time I kicked one. Last time it did I lost the cam and I don't want that to happen again.

call racer walsh or esslinger and get a set of mouse trap springs. the 2.0's had them stock. i use them on all our solid lifter heads and you can use them on hydraulics if the lifter has a groove around it(some do / some dont). they are relatively cheap.
where bouts you runnin?

the springs may fix your problem but it tells us that something else is going on.
if your running solids then check the springs. could be the installed height or weak springs, etc.. if your running hydraulics then check your oil pressure. if your lifters leak down from low pressure it can also cause the follower to come off. you also dont want excessive pressure. valve float can be just as big a problem.
i would double check everything before putting the mouse traps on.

I was planning on changing the springs sometime in the near future. I'll try to get a hold of the mouse trap springs and then go from there. Thanks for thge help.

Thought I'd give an update. My first race I got 9th but thats because the other four didn't finish. Car was strong and ran good all night. At practice last night I stuffed it in the wall comin' out of turn 4. The track was very slick but no excuse except for rookie mistake. I don't know what happened to the car because I haven't taken it out of the trailer so.... It should be ( if everything goes as planned ) ready for tomorrow night so I can do it again!

Start our season on May 23rd. Cant start any ealrier due to usage restriction we are still trying to get removed. These restrict to us so many race days only. Should be a little easier next year seeing as how one of us just bought the farm nearest to the track.
