I don't know a ton about them, but I can tell you what I do know. From what I have been told s-10s use the same front end components (spindles, control arms) as a metric car. This means that you can use many of tricks and parts that are available for them.

As for the rear suspension, you have a pretty straight forward leaf spring setup. I'm not much help here, because I haven't used them on any of my cars. I do know some stuff, though. If you don't already have a book discussing how to set them up, I'd recommend getting one soon. Many of Steve Smith's books will have what you are looking for.

One thing to keep in mind with the s-10 is that there is a variety of wheelbases. Personally, I would go with the shortest one I can find to help with weight and turning radius.

There are a couple different engines to choose from. If you can tell us what you plan on using, I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.

As far as specifics on weight percentages, spring rates, and shocks, it will depend on your rules and the track layout.
