can someone help... 2.3 ford mini stock with a 7000rpm miss and it only helps to pump the gas pedal to smooth it out. changed the ignition box but it didn't help

does it do it at 7000 r's everytime on track and off. If it is electrical take and take down the gap to 21 or so and test if that helps then you are on the right track with the electrical. Or it could be weak valve springs. or it could be you are running out of gas if it during racing conditions only. Give us more info. Later Bobby

I kinda had a slight miss friday and I think it was because my cam wasnt really good for the rpms I was running and it was advanced. plus the gear was way to much but we retarded the cam and stopped the miss

also what kind of fuel pressure do you have and what kind of pump. BObby I would check to make sure that the fuel line and filter are clear. first and then look else where. BObby

NOT TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT, BUT SPEAKING OF FUEL; WHAT SIZE DIA. LINE AND WHAT LBS PUMP SIZE DO YOU RECOMEND. I RUN THAT SMALL LINE (THINK 3/8) AND THE 4-7 LB PUMP?

that is what I run. Earl Parker recomends 6-7 at idle no more no less but I like a little less.

Actually about 5 1/2 to 6 psi fuel pressure at idle seems to work best.
