yeah as a door stop. Really I have been told by many engine builders that that is all they would use them for.

I RUN ONE IN MY MINI, MY DAILY DRIVER 93 M-STANG, I WOULD NOT USE ONE FOR RACING-AS BOBBY SAID THEY ARE NOT GOOD RACE ENGINES. IF YOU GO TO RACER WALSH THEY HAVE A WRITE UP ON THE DIFF. 4 CYL FORD ENGINES AND HEADS AND THEY SAY THE SAME THING. BUT I NEVER ACTUALLY SEEN ANYONE RUN ONE, IF YOU DO IT LET US KNOW HOW IT COMES OUT.
GOOD LUCK.

Track rules at our local track restrict you to a 2.3L with "a maximum of 4 working plugs". Seeing as how the head was engineered to function with 8 plugs, leaving four of them non-functioning would result in some power loss that could make a big difference.

We run a Nissan with an 8 spark plug head and only use the exhaust side spark plugs. Works for us.

Dhs- Thanks for the alternative post. I guess that demonstrates the old "it ain't always as it would seem". Glad it works for you and best of luck.

We run a 94 ranger and we have to use the stock head so we use the 8 plug, not by choice but we have 5 wins,3 second and a 8th for the season so far
