I want to attach it to a 2.3 will it work? I know there was a discussion on here abot this. but I never understood where to get the flywheel from. I thought they said the front wheel drive flywheel would work but just want to make sure thanks.

yes it will work. You might have to rim the pilot hole out a little to get it to go up over the hole. I would use the pressure plate too. BObby

YA THAT'S IT 1.9 ESCORT, I RUN ONE. YOU WILL NEED A LONGER THROW OUT BEARING, USE THE ONE FOR A 68 CHEVY TRUCK STRAIGHT 6 250. IT WAS A PAIN IN THE A- - FOR ME BUT IT WORKS.
GOOD LUCK.

How much weight is saved by using the escort flywheel over a stock mustang flywheel?

over 5lbs on the lightest 2.3 flywheel. and more like 10 on the mustang ones I think. BObby
