I am building a mini-stock and I would like some advice on struts for it. It is an 86 mustang gt 2300. The track is a 1/2 mile high banked clay oval. Would stock stuts work good? I have heard a couple different suggestions but would like to get some advice from some real racers. thanks

I use stock struts with my 86 and they work fine. I use 800 lb spring on right side and
a 750 on left side and adjust top of strut all the way in on right side and left side
all the way out for camber adjustment.

You might compair and see if struts are any heavier on a 5.0 than the 2.3 if you get a chance talk to B4racing he runs a good handling mustang mini he may give you some pointers.....Towman

from what I can tell the struts do not make that big of a difference from stock to fully adjustable ones. Tweeker do you run on asphalt that seems really high # for dirt but that is just my opinion. BObby

I run on dirt. It handles pretty good. Some of the cars in my class are running even higher rates than me.

Thanks for the help. I think we are going to go w/ a set of 5.o struts and 650 rf 600 lf. and go from there. Thanks guys
