The thing about running antifreeze is it poses a real hazard to the environment say if you bust your radiator in a wreck or get it hot and it spews out. I personally run straight water with water wetter or rmi it is all about the same stuff it helps lube the water pump. I have heard that distilled water helps with cooling as it has all of the impurities taken out and can transfer the heat better. Later BObby

a lot of tracks have outlawed the use of anti~freeze, where it is legal we run around a 50% mix and a 22lbs.cap,an elec.fan & a good shroud, with no problems.

AT MY TRACK IT IS NOT OUTLAWED, AND I'M ALL FOR SAVING THE EARTH AND ALL, BUT THE LAST COULPLE WEEKS (MAINLY THIS LAST RACE SAT) I RAN STRAIGHT WATER W/ THIS NEW RADIATOR (IT CAME OFF THE SELF HAS A FORD STAMP- NOT SURE WHAT CAR IT CAME OUT OF (22" LONG--30" DEEP 2" THICK 2- CORE?)) MY ENGINE WAS GETTING PREETY HOT 220-235. I THINK I'LL RUN THE 50/50 NEXT SAT AND SEE HOW IT DOES .

do you have a underdrive pulley and a 5/8 restrictor instead of a therm.

it is about half the size as the stock crank pulley it lets slows the water pump down and lets the water stay in the engine longer to let it absorb the heat. You can get them form Racer walsh or race engineering and they help a lot. I would make sure that you have that restrictor in there. good luck BObby
