if your class alows adjustable suspension you need a pinto but for a stock non-adjustable class go with the mustang

HAD 2 PINTOS FINISH 2ND AND 4TH IN THE TOP FIVE IN POINTS IN OUR MODIFIED CLASS. GUESS THEY ARE OUT DATED SINCE 5TH PLACE WAS A MUSTANG AND 1ST AND 3RD WAS TOYOTAS. GUESS PINTOS DONT RUN BETTER. PINTOS HAVE CONTROL ARMS COMPARED TO THE PRONE TO BREAKING STRU FRONT SUSPENSION.

hit a nerve did i? we race a 1/2 mile clay track, mustangs finihed in the top 15 rest were pinto, toyo, nissan, when was the last time you saw a pinto in the junk yard? unless it was in the hills somewhere.parts are scarse as hens teeth, were good in there day but its over, buuuuut thats why theres red cars, blue cars, etc, etc, each his own.but anyways sideways go to the track look whats runnin and whats up front, make your own mind up.every track is different ,just remember going fast isint important its turning around and going the otherway when it gets difficult.

lucky for me, there is a junkyard that specializes in pintos, mustangs, and capris 5 miles from me... I didn't know pintos were hard to come by.

if its for your daughter start her off in a strickly stock car first no matter what you get i'm interested where r u from shadow?and also what are your rules and track like size, etc, sideways
i built a little toyota celica gt for my daughter few years back for a local asphalt track, wow you talk about being competitive she was worse than any of the guys there. had a blast.she lost interest in it after the first season, she never won a feature but she got a ton of second places, {that **** rabbit} have fun they will be times that youll never forget

Thats the plan. But she has raced go-karts for 5yrs.So it aint her first race. But I agree strictly stock.Problem there being it is almost cheaper to buy a car with slight mods to it.So with that in mind???What to do?Thanks buckseight keep em comein' oh and track is 1/5mile tacky high banked true oval.

well she aint really a rookie, she prob. will want more than stock and you are right prob. just as cheap to go with a little more mods.but i still like the mustang better even if you can do the adj. springs, you can get the adj. for coils.i cant remember the last nascar i saw with leaf springs .oh well this aint nascar i know but think about it.

struts arnt so great on the mustang but the rear suspension is unstopable if you get it siet right.Leaf springs are alot faster on the straight aways but if you are racing a fast short track use coils any day
