I think the only stocks you need to crack down on is the Toyotas they are the ones just barely pulling the required vacum.

if u have any hondas running around there u should chech them out too.
the guys that dominate around here run built hondas and the track officials dont try very hard to keep them in check.
ported and polished heads and planed manifolds are a good stuff!

Unless you are allowing pickup trucks, what Toyotas or Nissans are rear wheel drive besides a Nissan Z (and who in their right mind would put one of those on a dirt track?)?? You should allow FWD, makes for some good racing!!

83 Celica Rear wheel screamer! I wish they did not allow FWD at our track.... they literally ruin the track about 1/2 way through the feature... I really enjoy flying by them in the straights though!!! 3/8th mile clay oval... http://www.hotrodhillmotorpark.com/

I don't believe it's the FWD that tears up the track. It' the tires. If a wider tire is allowed the track won't suffer any worse from FWD or RWD. They run totally different lines thru the curves. The RWD cars(Mustangs) at my track struggle horribly. FWD Dodges and GMs dominate with an occasional Mazda or VW sneaking in for a win. Unfortunately my track only allows stock tires for now. It doesn't matter what you're driving if you have to run the skinny tires.

we allow a minimun of 7.5 tread with tire. most cars run hoosier "dot" dirt track tires with an occaisional few runnin street tires.

give wider tires fwd are fast and fun to watch. if they are slow then they have now setup or just scared. also if you are looking for cheeten parts save your money you will be pulling down lots of motors to find the speed parts.
p.s. fwd dont tear up track as much as sprint,s and mod's.but they are faster than you think!

Micro sprints also run much wider tires! My buddy ran a 250 for 3 years, I crewed for him for 2. They are capable of tearing up a track depending on conditions. Of course this is true of any class as well. I just feel that a FWD doesn't do any more damage to a track than any other class or type of car, especially with the wider tires.

YOU WERENT PAYIN ATTENTION TO MY LAST POSTS. WE MAKE THE CARS RUN A MINIMUN OF 7.5 TREAD WIDTH. THEY CAN RUN ANY SIZE AS LONG AS THEY ARE WIDER THAN 7.5

Easy does it dude. I've read your posts. I just disagree with you that FWD tears up a track any worse than a RWD car. I'm pulling from MY experiences with the skinnier tires that MY track requires. Anyway, who in their right mind is going to give up any info on "cheatin parts" to a tech guy who is going to use this info to pull a guy from a race. You are the tech man. You find the cheaters!!

a good place for parts is Race Eng. out of Fla.they do a lot of 4cyl stuff.if you are worried about oversize motors, get the stuff to pump the motors with, learn how to use it,and that will solve that problem of big motors.if your rules say NO porting & polishing of heads, well if you pull the intake that is kind of obius,it really stands out,if you rules don't allow it.oversize valves, you'll need to remove the head, maybe you should make a check of the head an automatic take it off the block inspection then you can look at the whole thing.just a few thoughts that mite help,if you are going to be serious in catching "cheaters"you have to stay ahead of the game, not just on top of it,and you have to make the rules & enforcement equal for everyone not just a "select few"even if they are the track favorite or not,set a standard of"punishment"and use it on whoever you catch "dirty".

Sprints Mods and Bombers might tear up the track a bit but I would rather run after them than get beat to he!l by the ruts from the mini's... maybe the track owner need to do something different to the surface... who knows...
