Does anyone have ANY advice on "stock-looking" shocks, or motor parts (ignition systems, air intakes. I have to run "completely stock" and I'm looking for any type of edge I can get. I checked out Pro Shocks web site, but I'm not convinced that those are stock-looking parts.

If your racing a ford make sure you use the TFI distributer out of a fuel injected motor it's a ton better than the old dura-spark unit.

I'm not running a Ford, but thanks anyway. I am running a Honda 1.5 mpfi.
Scoot,
Does Pro-Shocks have a specific stock-looking line of shocks? Am I just worrying too much about it? I highly doubt that the tech guys at the track I'm running have ever looked that closely at a Honda, since practically everyone there runs American iron.

Scoot,
Have you tried the adjustables from Pro Shocks?

So, Wildcat and Scoot, you're telling me that Pro-Shocks adjustables are the way to go for stock-appearing shocks. Thanks guys! I'll give that a try and get back to you.
How about stock appearing ignition systems?
What can I do with the air box to make it breathe better? I've already removed the baffle plate and rerouted the tubing to a more open area. Should I use a K&N Filter or can I get the same results from a cheap air filter from NAPA. A friend of mine runs a Pure Stock and uses the cheapest paper filters he can get and just replaces them every week.

look at some hoosiers. i think you can get some of them with a dot # on them. can you run recaps? if so check with diamondback. i used to run them when i was running stock. pretty good tire. its a recap so the dot # form the casing is usually still on sidewall.
