I have a mustang I cant get any side bite. I am real loose all the way throught the corner. i have stock springs in the rear and i have beefed up the right front. I run 1/2 inch of stagger in the rear of the car. last saturday night i took out 2 lbs out of the left front tire that seemed to help some. anyone know if i cut the right rear spring a half or full turn if it will help get side bite? I have finished 8 th and 6th the last 2 weeks .. the car is fast. but need to make the turns.

Try adding some cross weight. If you went down on LF air pressure and it made it better, then you might need some more wedge. You can increase wedge by softening the RR or increasing the LR or RF. Kinda depends on what your weight is and ride heights.

thanks guys .. I have 3 inch ofset wheels all the way around. I run 16 psi rf, 11 lf, 11 lr , 13 rr. i run the diamond back radial recaps. i have a 245 rf the rest are 235's 14 inch tires. when my car was built the guy who built it plated the frame with 3x5x1/5 inch angle iron. the weight is all in the bottom of the car. ht ecar is heavy i dont have any weight on it as the track I run doesnt weight us yet. I run a 3/8 mile semi banked track. thanks again for the info.

if the car is loose i would try putting the rf tire on the rr to get a littel more stagger and if its still loose try tray adding some air to the lr or rf add only 2 or 3 psi at a time do it one step at a time the first thing i would do is switch the rf and rr and see if it tightens it up any then if it helps and is still a littel loose add a littel to the lr or rf alwasy by adding air to the lr or rf will tighten up a car good luck

what is the aspect ratio on your tires. are they 70 or 60 or 50 series tires. if they are all the same series the height would be easier to calculate. but if one is a 245/60/14 and one is a 235/70/14 they will have the same height. the 235 will just be skinnier. i work part time at a tire shop and have picked up a few things. my buddie that owns the shop has a gauge that tells replacement tire sizes. i aint giving you exacts on the tires because i aint for sure but i can check on it though.

All my tires are a 60 series. The right rear is a 235 60 14. 80.5 inches..left rear is 235x60x14, 80.0 inches. My problem is the rear of the car wants to go ahead of the front. loose. all the way through the corner. the rear just slides and dont bite in.
