I want to get more rear bite off the corners. I know it helps to angle the rear pinion down. What happens if I get to much angle on the pinion? I have heard anywhere from 5 degrees to 8 degrees down angle. The car is a Vega with 4 link rear running on a 3/8 mile clay track with 9 degree banking. The turns are long with short straights.

I would still like to know what happens if I go to far with the pinion angle. What problems will it cause?

It will bind and you could break something. Or you could jump on the brake and pull the yoke out the the tailshaft.
