Hey man you can spend as much as you want in this class you can spend 3 thou on the head
we looked at a chevy here not to long ago and it was awsome built car but had no motor
the problem with that is you look at how many 2.3 perfomance parts there are and you cant find anything for a chevy even though i am a chevy man the ford is the car for a 4 cyl. class you could go with a toyota i wouldnt ever buy a yota for this class they have tons of performance parts but it dont hurt to be rich to get them and we dont have the money for that but you might and if you do i wouldn't mind recommending it
thats my opinion
thx

a large part of the cost is how inventive you are and resourceful. You can spend a great amount just as you can on any kind of race car. I have seen mini prices range from 750.00 all the way to 5000.00. much of it depends on how much of the labor you can perform yourself and making choices on what you really do need versus what you dont need. I built a feature winning car last year for under $1000.00. with quick steer, fuel cell, new seat and belts. I searched out bargains and made swapping deals. listened to reliable sources as to what worked and what didnt. weighed the things i had heard and made choices as to cam and such. I kept it reasonably simple plus won best appearing car for the season. If you have any questions I am more than hapy to oofer you what little knowledge I have.

I think a guy could be very competetive
with 1,000 $ car and it also depends on the rules you have at your track and stuff like that
