Picked up a late model roller and this will be my first year in it. The guy who drove the car last told me "you have to really drive it hard into the turn or it won't work". If someone told you that, what would it mean?

it would tell me he does not know how to set up a race car. if it is hard to drive on entry something is wrong. was it too tight on entry unless you stayed on the gas? was it snap loose as soon as you get off the gas?
what did he say that it did? which tracks in mo are you planning on running? i see your from mo.

Well, I think the guy who drove it before know something about setting up a car for him at least. He drove a car of mind a few times and he likes a very tight car to start the race with and made most of his passes in the turns. This is a car I bought that was built for him to drive a few years back in just big $$$$ shows, while he was winning a regional NASCAR dirt modify championship. So the car is still set up for him and I've decided since he never got back around here without already having a ride in something last year, that I would give it a turn this year. Oh my, fast car, rookie drive = crash. Last time he was in town after I decided to give it a gone myself this year he just told me that if I didn't drive it hard into the turns it would push and be a hand full to handle. And if could drive it hard then it would run like it was on a rail. But of course he was pretty busy therefore didn't really explain this much. As for where I am going to run???? well just wanting on some rules to come out and then will decide where we can run.

sounds like too much lf spring, if you lower it then the car will be alot freer on entry off the gas. that would be my first move if your unable to talk to him about it before you drive it much.

Thanks I'll give that a try, if I don't see him during the holidays. If not he will be testing at Daytona to much to see him before we start racing here.
