Can anyone tell me about diffs in a dirt car. What will it do by just switching to one from a solid spool? Is one beter than the other for dirt. I notice at my local track we hace 5 guys that are always fast each car gets pushed backwards by the crew in a big arc with out scuffing left rear wheel. These five car have one comun factor the all work for a larg speed shop or someone from the crew does.

I've run both types in the past , but I always go back to a spool . If you make the switch , you can expect a little faster straightaway speeds . I always feel slower through the corners though without the spool .

They say the diff is better on your shorter tracks, but we run a 1/5 mile and still have stuck with the spool. Have known guys that have tried the diff, and both went back to the spool.
