We have a D-55 tire rule so yeah, I guess it would make a big difference, traction is everything. I wish they would either police this problem better or make the darn things cheap and legal.

Has anyone actually seen someone get caught with traction control?
I not talking about what you heard but have actually witnessed.

The newest versions don't sound like a stutter box at all. They just drop the timing back a few degrees to flatten off the motor. Can't be heard in a race, but in qualifying, with a good ear knowing what to listen for, they can be detected.

They put drivers in the cars for a reason. Traction controll can allow a n idiot to run conpeditively and also skrew the real drivers up. Drive the car like you're supposed to.

McDowell did get caught with it and i know of a guy that had it at columbus motor speedway and the tech guys couldnt find it til they gave up and the guy showed them. he hid the RPM sensor in the alternator. he told them he could hide them in the power steering pump, alternator, oil pump, rearend oil cooler pump. he said that anything that is turned by the engine can be used. then you can use MSD boxes and other thing like that to do it to. i heard about a trick with a microwave that can mess the traction control up and cause it not to work right.

Yeah, traction control will help, even with "all that tire" a late model runs. Anything that limit rear tire slippage, will help a driver go to the front of the pack!!
