latemodelguys actually talkin about something. seems like late model guys like keepin everything they know a secret and dont want anybody knowin what they know. it aint gonna hurt to tell what you know it will only make the sport better and more competitive, that is why they made this forum so we could have help with each others car problems and to make our cars better.

I would like to see more tracks adopt the IMCA rules for late models. It seems to be a more cost effective effort for late model racing. Unfortunately, it seems that everyone likes to spend 35 grand on an all aluminum motor to win 1 grand per regular. Never has made much sense to me. Oh well.

Yea adopt the IMCA rule than you can spend 15-20000 for a engone and up to 3000 for a 390 carb and race for $700 TO WIN. iF IMCA late models were such a good deal why did 3 tracks drop them and Independence went to a open rule (spec big carbs and open engines 390 carbs) for there biggest paying races , The Indy opens. All Imca ever cared about santioning Late Models was so they could get an extra 150 dollars in lisence fees. Then they made a set of rule that made you uncompetitive every where else and then wouldn't allow others to run without buying the spec heads.

OK, I just wish there was an affordable form of lm racing out there. From the way the rules read the IMCA looked good, but I guess in practice its a different story. I guess its sorta like the situation with limited late models right now. Every track has their own rules. It makes it hard on the guy who wants to tour to different tracks without putting himself at a disadvantage.
