I bought an all magnesium bert this morning. While me and my brother were admiring it on my living room floor,he was talking too a guy on the phone and he said the mag. bell housings break on rough tracks.Have any of you guys ever broke one? the guy said the aluminum one is heavier, but 20% stronger.Anybodys comments and opinions will be greatly appreciated!

hmmm....we have a bert magnesium transmision, but we just have an aluminum bell. I thought magnesium was not only lighter but stronger too. If i wanted to spend the extra doe i would have one. also 20 perecent sounds like an aweful big number i would make sure before i gave it the heave hoe.
p.s. you may want to check out berttransmission.com......i was looking and see that they claim that their magn bellhousing is lighter and stronger.
