running a 98 rocket on a 1/2 mile 20 degree track was running 53 left 54 rear 170 bite steel head motor 550 lf 450 rf 275 lr 225 rr car was fast and won a very competive race 22 inch j bar 9 3/4 on frame bottom pinon d 55 tires track is slicker last few weeks went to 400 rf 250 bite car is good in loose in middle loose off not spinning should i go to a straight bar or what should i do

back off of the bite and close up your stagger. A short bar is going to put mechanical sidebite in the car and tighten it up going in, but it will also cause more loose roll steer, which will hurt a loose in the middle condition. One thing you might try is a stiffer right front than left front, don't go overkill, maybe 75#. That will free you up going in, and will let you get back in the throttle earlier. It will also promote forward bite.
