I've ran my car on the dry slicks all year with a pair of 200's on the rear. This week I changed to a 225-LR and 175-RR. I didn't change anything else. How will the car act differently. I'm told the car will drive harder off the turns because the heavier LR spring will exert more force when the car gets back on the LR on exit. Do you agree or disagree?

Should I go to a 93 shock on the LR so it gets back quicker? I currently run a pair of 94's on the slick stuff. I appreciate your input.

Hey 30owner, I registered just so I could reply to your post. I have watched you car for several weeks, your driver shows some great promise. Without knowing more about your set-up I think you are going in the right direction but I think you should go with a 250lb left rear and a 200lb right. Stay with the 94's on shocks. How much left rear weight are you running and also are you running the left rear clamped or behind the rear?

Hey Dirt Man, Thanks for the reply. I was going to run the 250-LR and 200-RR deal, but the only 250 spring I have is on a shock for the RR of my mud set-up. We bought all the stuff this week to assemble our spare motor, so money is a little short right now. Last week we had 250 lbs LR in the car. He said it felt good but it was spinning coming off. I was trying a Bullitt deal with an ungodly stiff 5th coil, but I don't think he has the throttle control for that yet. I switched that back to a 300 on the 5th. We're running the LR in front and unclamped. The frame doesn't have the behind mounts. It's only a 96. My next purchase will be one of those TWM LR birdcages out of the Poske catalog so I can clamp up the LR. Thanks for your input.

This is not an advertisement for him cause sometimes people get upset when you mention business names, but give John at H&H Racing Equipment a call, I think he can help you out with the items you might need.
If you are not clamped you might want to put in some more left rear weight to help drive off better and maybe a 350lb spring in the 5th coil. Good Luck!
