I've seen long bars, I've seen short bars. I've asked Terry English his opinion, then Terry Eaglin his and finally Don O'Neal his, and got 3 different answers. I've also seen guys try both, and they said they never saw a difference.I have the short bar on my 99 Rayburn and dont intend to switch. I think its all driver preference like anything else.I think when you get right down to it, a good driver in a properly setup and maintained car, can win. We've all seen a car win a race, and then looked it over later and just shake our heads and wonder how in the heck did that thing beat me? I saw the most basic under funded car beat the best LM Sportsman cars in the country last year here at Volusia County Speedway, and he led all 100 laps to do it! The driver was Eric Platt is his family owned car. The car was a basic 3 link. He just out drove em! The car even ran an old powerglide! He had Wesley Hood, Cecil Eunice and Ivedent Lloyd on his rear all night and they couldn't touch him. Hood even had Barry Wright himself there to help him. So there ya go.
