How do the actual weights (empty) compare for a steel frame trailer vs. something like a Featherlite trailer say 24 foot?

My all aluminum 40' gooseneck Exiss trailer was 50#'s lighter then a friends steel 26' tag.

I checked my tag it says 6363 #'s

I spent a lot of time reseaching and speaking to different trailer manufactures about this same subject. I was ready to buy my enclosed trailer and wanted to get the best, I found out that the only real advantage to aluminium is corrosion resistance, It seems that there was only a 100 pounds difference between the Pace trailer I bought and a similar Aluminium trailer, along with a huge cost difference. Aluminium trailers are harder to repair than steel, not eveyone has a TIG welder setup for aluminium, any way I would just get a good steel trailer, just my 2 cents.
My pace trailer is a 28 FT shadow, daytona package with cabinets, and it weighs 3400 dry
