How hard would it be to build an enclosed trailer for a winter project? How big should we make it, I would like about a 2' deep cabinet at the front of it. It also needs to be big enough to hold cars that may go in it later, such as a late model or similar sized car, but for now it will just hold a U-Car.

If you have lots of time and effort, it's not a difficult project at all : it's a series of very simple steps repeated over and over.
However, everytime I have seen somebody try it, they came within 80% of the cost of a decent used trailer and spent a lot of time doing it.
Unless you're looking for a challenge, I recommend going the used route - there are some great deals out there.

My Racing friend has been building his enclosed trailer for a year now. It has taken him quite a bit of effort, and he will have a nice trailer when done, but right now he has a great looking lawn ornament.
