The major problem you will have is they usually have cross bracing shaped in a v for the boat hull and really these need to be replaced.

Its probably more work than its worth. Sell it in the classified and put that toward a real car trailer or take off the axles, lights coupler and wheels and build a frame around it.

Here's an idea for ya: I noticed an old tandem axle horse trl sitting in the weeds at a nearby farm so I asked him what he wanted for it----nothing, he had a new one and the floor was rotted out! It took a couple of weeks but we cut the axles out and widened them 4inches, reinforced the frame with more channel iron, replaced the wooden floor, new tires, bearings, wiring & lights, a cheap single row tire rack, and a freebie plastic trk toolbox (sits on the tounge). I have $350 to $400 in the whole trl---1/2 of that was in the new rubber, I found the channel iron laying around in a salvage yard and even turned in the panels & roof for the local price of steal, I think they gave me $20 for it. This trl has 5000lb axles, with brakes on one set, approx 18 ft and it works perfect pulling my brothers 3500lb figure 8 car around. I know I got lucky on the freebie but maybe just ask around, it was an easy conversion.

i used one once and it towed better than my trailer did. this one had a mesh like flooring. the only real problem was the height. try it if it doesnt work use it as a frame hauler.
