I just read a statement "Do not use these bearings with a cast crankshaft! Use Clevite "P" series bearings if you have a cast crankshaft." Why???

FYI- we use the H-series with a 80-60-06 cast crank tore it down at the end of this season for a look-see and the bearings and the crank are in superb condition. This is with a season and a half on the engine. When I put it together for next year I will use the H-series bearings and won't tear it down for two seasons if nothing breaks. just my 2 cents

Is it possible the radius on the journals are different, that might be the reason for the warning.
