I've used this stuff for years and have been very pleased with it.In fact we dropped a valve one night and cracked a cylinder, lost very little coolant before it sealed up.Still finished third in the A.

In a real "pinch" eggs and copenhagen work well on a fast leaking hot rad. Not a long term fix though. I have had good luck with silver seal.

Another good thing to do for a quick fix,is pepper flakes. Don't ask me how I know that. But I've used stop leak in my car a couple different times when I needed a fix, and its worked fine, never any problems for me. Just make sure it gets circulated through evenly, thats the trick to it working perfectly, from what I've found anyways.
Oh yeah, the stuff I found it pretty cheap, Alumaseal I believe is the name.

I used Moroso Ceramic Seal for a couple valve seat cracks and it held up the whole season.

You just have to careful pouring the stop leak into the rad. We had some stay onto the filler neck and cause the cap to leak.
