Will a stock cast crank and stock rods live in a 350 with 10:1 compression spinning between 5~6000rpms? I would like to get about 700 miles on it during the season before freshening. It seems pretty mild to me, but maybe stock stuff is weaker then I thought?

If assembled correctly it should have no problem, but I would definitely have it balanced. I ran a stock crank and rods with TRW forged pistons for 2 seasons.

I ran about the same thing at 6500-7200 all year, with no problem. Spent the $150 to have it balanced.

junk the cast pistons and go with a set of forged. 700 miles under racing conditions on cast pistons is risky. get a good set of valve springs and keep it under 6000 rpm and you should be ok.
