Just got a smoking deal on this longblock, was wondering why someone would go thru all the trouble of turning the 350 mains down to small journal size and boring a whopping .125 out of it instead of just using a 350 block? Seems like some experimental idea someone had with alot of time on their hands to me. What can you tell me about this wild one?

dont rev it more than 1200rpm cuz your pistons and the rods will be comming through the block. LOL **** i dunno i have never heard of such a contraption. Prolly get more power out of a 305

We used to bore the old 283s 125 to get a 4" bore in the 60s. Then we found we could use a 327 (small journal)block with the 283 crank and get the same thing. Good little motors.
