The pistons for a 3.48 crank will usually work with a 3.50 stroke if your block has not been decked excessively. The slightly longer stroke will move the piston travel a little further up in the cylinder. If the block has already been machined for "zero" deck height with a 3.48 stroke, the piston will travel above the deck.

When I saw this I wanted to put that exact thing but decided not to! Then I figured what the heck came back and found you beat me to it!

Great minds think alike. I knew paying attention to math in school would come in handing one day.

I actually saw a racer loose $4,000 dollars because of a 3.5 crank last november. The rule was 3.48 crank. I still can't figure out what the great advantage was supposed to be.

Slightly more torque for c.i. rules? I've kinda wondered the same thing.
