looking at a lot of diferent track web sites their rules state carb must pass go no go gauge. Is there a place to buy a gauge or do tracks get the stock diameter and have gauges built at a machine shop to use?

What kind of carb are you talking about, firstly?
Yes, they are available, but not in "certified" form for ALL carb brands. Most Holley models have tech guage kits available.
Let me know what carb(s) you're talking about and I'll point ya to the source.

right now my track is looking for a gauge for a holley 4412, but could also be looking for a rochester 2G. I'm currently looking at option for next years rules. The current rules say unaltered holley 4412 carb, but the track has no gauge to check them. I would like to add dimentions and have the track buy a gauge to ensure they can be checked.

Call BLP Products. They make the certified guage kits for 4412's and many others as well. The number is: 800-624-1358. The website is: www.blp.com

These are what tracks SHOULD be using for guages. Homemade guages are not done to these specs/tolerances.
Good luck, hope this helps,
