what would be the advantage or disadvantage in this over regular headers

one huge advantage is they arent under the car and getting beat up , i dont run 180 degree but i do run crossovers and they are up out of the way spark plug clearance and oil filter and anything else you need to work on is easier with one exception working around the valve train with hot headers , let em cool especially on a ford and removing the valve covers

The big advantage is they are tucked inside the car where they don't ever get bent. I have been running the same set of headers for 5 years
and the long pipes are supposed to produce more torque
The disadvantages are more pipe so they are heavier,
from the noise they produce people think you are turning 3,000 RPM then you really are ( well.. maybe thats not a disadvantage)

The weight of the headers is alittle higher in the car thus maybe producing more roll???????? They sure do sound nice though!

I've never ran them but this is what I'm told.......

each tube is connected with the corrisponding tube so that they work together to "pull" the exhaust out of the cylinder (hence pulls more fuel in during overlap.) That's why they intermingle together with left & right cylinders to optimize the loading of the cylinders with fuel. I've also been told that to make these work as designed, Cam selection is very important (duration, overlap, ect....) I understand that most people that know these secrets on how to get these headers to work don't give up this info easy. I may be totally off base but that's what I've been told - they do sound cool!
