Anyone know for sure, did they switch all accross the board?? Im looking to buy a couple 350s at the junk yard and want to avoid them.

not 100% sure but i know 85 up are 1 pc seals.

Malibu Man - if the engines are already out and the trans aren't on them you can tell by the hole pattern in the end of the crankshaft - 1pc have a smaller hole pattern (can't remember exact spread) then the 2 pc. Hope this is of some help.

also you probably want pre 1980 because in 80 they went to the passenger side dipstick and i recall some of them have a kickout on the block on the passenger side for the oil pan, and your's is prolly on driver side
