I am setting up a new cam & valve springs. I am not sure what the proper intall height of the springs should be. The cam card says "Spring Pressure: 130lb.Seat, 330lb.Open". With a spring tester I measure 130lb at 1.73in, and 330lb at 1.21in. I have a total valve lift of .49 for both intake & exhaust.
Does this mean that my install height for the springs should be 1.73 or (1.21 + .49)=1.70.
Is the install height the same for both intake & exhaust?
Also I have the rotator valve spring retainers for the exhaust, should I ditch these?

Yes you need to ditch the rotators...as far as installed height you need to check your spring pressure at 1.240" if its greater than 315lbs-320lbs go ahead and set up at 1.730" if not use the 1.710"-1.700" height just make sure that you dont run into any coil bind or retainer to guide issues.
