im going to be racing in a non wing sprint class that mandates steel heads, 2 bbl carb, flat tappet cam, starters, with no limits on compression or piston type, 360 motor on methanol. Im just starting out and have a basic setup to start with. 350 4bolt .30 over stock crank and rods and dont know what type of piston to use flat or dome? bowtie heads 64cc 195, 150. im on a budget but would like to know wich direction to go with this basic setup and how much power I could expect. 1/4 mile track high banked also, any feed back will help especially on cam type as well.

How much money do you have to spend? that's what dictates what you buy.

I'd call JDR Performance about the carb. A lot of the non wing sprint guys around here are running them and run up front every night. They've got something figured out on the 4412's. Obviously it's a combination of a good driver and good equipment but it might give you an edge.

I forgot to mention that a couple of those guys said that the cam grind was pretty important also.
