I've heard you may need to run offset pushrod guides on Protopline heads to prevent side wear and breaking of pushrods with these heads. Anyone have this problem?

I have heard that with some, my pro's we could not use thicker pushrods, we wanted to go with large dia. ones, but could not so we are stuck with the average size ones, but they barely fit.

You might want to double check your piston to valve clearance with those also if you were close with another set of heads. Something about the valve split.

spark plug location usually causes problems with regular pistons. ross make an "off the shelf" piston to suit, and i would imagine JE would do the same. i have seen some guys hand grind a set for clearance, but that would not be my choice.
