I have a Speedway cam (533 I, 555 E), 106 lobe center and cam card says degree cam at 102 at .050 tappet lift. I am using 1.65 rockers instead of 1.50. Is there a math guru that can tell me how much difference in nunbers, if any, when degreeing the cam.

Your lift should change to .588 and .611 with the 1.65 rockers. no change as far as degreeing the cam.Just make sure you check your valve clearence.

You should be be using a dial indicator and a lifter for that because you are not measuring valve lift, you are measuring tappet lift. Just insert the lifter down the lifter bore (at TDC), drop the indicator on top of it, zero it out, then turn the engine until it reads .050".

You better get someone to help you with that degreeing. I'm honestly not trying to be smart, but if you are asking about rocker ratios influencing the intake centerline something tells me that you should be shown HOW to degree in your cam. Once you see it done, you will understand. Good luck!

Thanks for your comments. And NO, I am not offended in no way. I should have asked the question in a different way. Would the 1.65 give the same reading on the degree wheel as the 1.50 at .050 before and after maximum lift with the dial guage on the valve retainer. I have always used 1.50 and put on the 1.65 before the cam was degreed in. I do have my answer now, it is as I thought it was.
