I have two intakes like that for sale right now. Both are cleaned, baked, shot blasted, underside is coated with Glyptal, gasket surfaces prepped and top is primed and painted.
$100 plus shipping (about $35 UPS).

email or PM me for details.

The marine high-rise one is far better than any of the standard q-jet intakes. It's a stock GM part.

was told not allowed to run the marine int. can it be disguised as a regular q-jet?

for those having to run stock yall should jump on the ones kp has. ive eneded up paying 60 bucks to get one cleaned, and still junkyards want 75-100 bucks for one as nasty as i had..

get it cut the center out do a little port matching, and your car will think you have a high rise aluminum intake..

Nope. The plenum area is much taller than a standard q-jet intake.

If you can't run the high-rise intake, buy one of KP's intakes.

would it help to drill out the rear coolant ports and plumb them to the water pump or somewhere to help cooling? ever seen that done before? aftermarket ones have ports already, where do they connect to usually?

move it or lose it, friends are for after the checkered flag waves

Anyone? I want to know more about cutting the center of this intake or "modifying it" for next Saturday, can anyone help?

made one the other day just cut out the top area with a cut off wheel. as the cutting disc becomes smaller you can get into the harder to reach areas. can also use a chisle to remove small pieces. just open it up to look like a open plenum manifold, except it will have two different hieghts for the plenum area. smooth it up and go!

That spot in between the front throats that is open....must be for vacuum, is that ok to leave wide open like that? I'm trying this on a EGR intake cuz I dont want to do it the first time on a good intake and mess it up. I have started today doing this, and yes it is kinda tricky to get in there but it is coming along, just wondered about that open spot in there.

will probably require alot of fuel on idle, will likely bog or dog of the line but top end should be better. could just cut the wall down 1/2 inch to make it look like a edelbrock street manifold.

Does anyone else have any input on this? I'd like to get a couple opinions before I install this intake and try to run it. I have won the last 2 features, but would still like to have just a little more to make sure I end up with a couple more wins this year. Points are tight and I might be able to pull off a points championship for the first time ever after 16 years of racing.

I am running asphalt now. Moved far away from there at the end of 2002. Did I ever run against you before?

sorry i forgot about this post. i will be pulling it off and replacing the heads this week i will snap some shots of it..no stumble at all and purrs at any rpm.it is the best of both worlds. still a daul plane for off the corners, and single at high rpm..anyone who runs stock will agree its hard to get even fuel to all cylinders, but after doing this with an adjustable carb spacers all plugs look great..

you are going to have to plug holes up in egr for sure. plus it takes away port volume with the egr.i cut off flush on sides, and flush to the bottom of intake. do not forget to match port while it is off. thats another 15/20 horses you can free up

Thanks SC1, I will use my non EGR intake for this instead. Does it idle just fine then? What if I'm not running a carb spacer? I appreciate the help. I think I'll run the regular intake this Saturday, then I'll put the other on and go out during the week then and do some practices and see what it does for my lap times. Thanks again SC1.

I would doubt it that you ran against me I only started racing in 2001. That year didn't do a lot of travel mainly Greenbush and Hallock. If you ran streets though you ran against my cousin and engine builder Rodney Peterson. What class did you run and what number have been a huge race fan since about '97?
