Can you get any more RPM's running a light weight fuel pump rod in a mild built 350 turning 5800 rpm?

I actually bought a "so called" lightweight fuel pump rod and weighed it to compare it to my stock rod and the stock rod was 10 grams lighter. I could see maybe a very small hp gain at 8000 rpm+ but nothing below that. save your money.

I don't think most engines running under 8 grand need anymore then a stock pushrod.

I was told that you could not get a engine over 6 grand without one, just thought I might be able to get some more rrr's from a $20 LW rod. I guess its one of those things never believe anything you hear and only believe half of what you see.

I run a stock rod. Bought one of the light weight ones after years of running a stock one. The light weight got ate up after about 5 races, filled the motor with metal and had to be rebuilt. I now run the same stock rod that I've had for over five years. Turned 7400 in the heat and 7500 in the feature last week and have never had a lick of trouble turning at least 6500 all these years.
