I currently run an MSD distributor that has the high output coil and module. I am wondering if it would be worth my money to buy the MSD ignition kit with the 6AL Box and external coil and billet distributor. The price is 450 and I am looking into getting it just wondering if it would be worth my time and money?

if you already have an msd distributor and external coil (blaster 2?) i wouldn't replace them, but the addition of an msd 6al i think would be worthwhile.

I currently have the msd distributor with the internal coil. Would the ignition box help with starting and idling also?

We run only HEI Stuff. With the current motor in the car, it dyno'ed 5 HP MORE with an MSD HEI Setup than it did with the MSD 6al box setup. HEI is simple, easy, and makes just as much power.

it is possible for the msd unit to assist with starting, mainly when used with slow combusting/high ignition point fuels like lpg or methanol.
pretty much depends upon your budget and what you want to achieve.
