I have been running a midwest #1 cam for years with good results. The valve lash is listed at .026 with 1.5 rockers. Should I be setting more or less with 1.6 rockers or is it close enough that it wont matter. What is the difference between a cam with .018 lash and this one with .026? Could I tighten up the lash a little or would it cause problems?
Thanks
Nick

Well with my cam that I got at Ag & Industrial if I was running a 2 barrel to lash it at 8 thou less than if I was running a 4 barrel on that cam. Reason being is that with more lash it makes it think that its a bigger cam. Couldn't tell you why just what I was told.

Lash will be the same with any ratio rocker. Increasing lash will change seat timing so you end up with more lift and more duration. You can use this as a very fine adjusting tool. Results will vary among engine combo's. Don't run less than .005 of cam recommendations.
