here is how I hooked my 18 volt system

for those of you running a msd box run the hot wire out of the + side of the 6 volt battery run it to where you would normally run your 12 volt wire to

Whtas the advantage of running 18 volts to the coil? Will it help at higher RPM's? Ive never seen this b4 so thats why I ask. thanks. Dan.

From all the reading I have done it helps increase the spark thus you can run more of a gap and give it more fuel more horsepower

The output of a MSD box is regulated. It is designed to put full power spark at 10 volts. The output will not increase with 16 volts. 16 volts will only give you more capacity. (last Longer)

So basically all you did was add an 6 volt battery in between coil and coil 12 volt hot wire?Cool deal.Does it come out 18 on a volt/ohm meter?
