I'm fixin to build a flat top 350.speed way (915110691) cam .502 .516 lift. stock crank and rods. I want to turn this thing between 6000 and 6500. my question is which heads to use I have a set of 185's 993's and 339x. also which intake i have a non egr, an egr, a 300 horse with the holley bolt pattern or a 2101 alum. and last but not least. i can run either the holley 3310 or a quadrajet. can someone give me a good combo? The above mentioned items is what i have at my disposal and are legal for my class.

Professer Plum in the observatory with the lead pipe..... Wait thats not it.

Try the 993's the 2101, and the 3310, and add the 4150 style secondary metering block. That will let you change the rear jets, instead of messing around with the metering plate.

unless your building this for swainsboro, modoc, or volusia. in which case you need 441 heads and a quadrajet. the big cfm q-jet will beat the 3310 anyway. besides, it isnt worth the weight penalty to run the holley.
