Here's a question for someone with a lot of carb experience. Just dynoed a mod with a moderate claimer 350 in it. Engine put down good power but makes almost exactly the same HP from 6000 to 7000 rpm. Jetting and Power Valve changes moved the entire curve up and down, but did not remove this flat spot. Could this be an air bleed problem? Car on Alky with a 775 Race Demon Carb, so air bleeds are changeable. Unfortunately I didn't have any others with me at the dyno session. BTW, this engine has plenty of valve spring for these rpms, so we don't think that's it.

Too little info;what heads, what cam, intake, what size header tubes, flat tops or domed?I think that you are dealing with more than a carb problem

Fully ported double humps, Solid lifter cam w/ about .565 lift, Can't remember duration off hand, 1.75 headers, 12.5 comp w/domed pistons. I had a very similar motor a couple of years ago and did not see this flat spot in the hp curve. Haven't ruled out ignition, but it has all fairly new MSD set up.
