I was told recentley about offset grinding a 350 crank down to 327 journal size with a standard bore and ending up with a 366 but thats not what the tool box comes up with so who's right?

Do a search on 3 9/16 stroker you grind the rod journal off set and end up with a small journal diameter (62 to 67 ) 327 The stroke will be 3.562

I'm building a standard bore (4.00)x 3.5625 stroke 6" rod flat top motor. With standard bore the math works out to 358.1 cubic inch.

15a, is right one, our new motor is a 9/16ths engine, offset ground a 47lb scat crank to 2.00 rod journals, and the stroke ends up 3.5625 from a 3.500 stroke crank.

Stk blk, bored .30 over. The math come out to be 364.075. I call it a 365 or a 9/16ths motor.

Our engine builder, an old time top fuel racer, LM racer, sprint car racer among others says its the best engine he has ever run. Something about it he says he has always liked, we'll see.

Personnally i liked to see a 3.5625 in a 4.155 bore, with a set of good low degree heads buts thats me, and out of our price range LOL.

I'll post my thoughts about it after we run it if you want to hear about it.
