Ok, here's the deal I have the carb in pieces on the coffe table waiting on answers lol!!! I know there are alot of other people out there that have to run these due to rules, and would like to know some of the tricks to building these for the racing cene! One of the biggest questions i have is where do you get the jets for them and what all parts are interchangeble with them such as holley or edelbrock parts in a quadrajet. Again please help im stupid when in comes to carbs!!!!!!! Gonna be settin here waiting on replys.

Lookup KPLugnut on this board. he can get you parts. i have also ordered them from

no the holley and q-jet parts are not interchangeable.

there are many mods to do to the q-jet,
too many to list. a really good book
to get is Rochester Carburetors by doug roe.

Yes, the Edelbrock q-jet parts will work in an OEM q-jet.

Edlebrock qjets won't interchange metering, secondary rods or jets
Maybe something else on it will that I don't know.

If you get the doug roe bood(highly reccomended, very good book) it has the GM part numbers for jets, large diameter needle and seats, acc pumps, etc. You can go to any GM dealer order them.

You can not tap it for holley jets. There is another post on here i started. I think its under plugs and kp will tell you that you cant. On a rochester 2 barrel yes you can but not on a 4 barrel.
