I have 406 14 to one 6inch rod 220 cast iron heads ....engine came with 750 alcohol demon ...we are running at 2200 feet elevation in pretty dry climate .....any sugestions on a good safe place to start on jets ?.....carb came from running sea level with 136 in front and 138 in rear with 163 power valve in front and 165 in rear.....I was told to start with 173 on the left side and 169 on the right by a local demon distributer does this sound right?.....help please got to race tomarow....thanks.

The 173 would be pretty close. The 136 would be really lean I would think. Id start with 173 front and rear and see what the plugs look like

thanks for reply ......I thought the smaller jets sounded verry lean also,especialy at see level .....that could explain why the pistons look absolutly brand new and clean.
