I rolled my car over this friday night and it landed on its side and I shut the ignition off as it was coming to a rest. Question - What damages to a motor could happen from this? The car was pushed back on its wheels and I got back in and finished the A Main in 13th place. Car handled and seemed to have all of the original power. I guess a big cloud of smoke billowed out when I first started the motor but it cleared right out! Just wanting to know if there is anything I need to be worried about! Thanks!

Kent,

Was this at Lakeside? That was the darnedest thing to see and then to have you finish was really cool. I got to see it first hand since about that time you were up to 7th or so racing with #30 my brother.

Bob Libby the announcer asked the croud how many of them wanted to see you climb back in and finish!

Hope its all in one piece, see ya friday, I'll be in the #14 monte.

I rolled one 5 times a couple of years ago. The engine shut off itself. Didn't hurt a thing. Totalled the car but the engine is still running today. No changes or rebuild.

Mikey14 - Is this rodney? Hey the car seems to be just fine! I went over every nut and bolt yesterday and saw nothing in the way of damage. I ran the car for about 10 minutes and it sounds just as healthy as before! It's great your going to have your car up at Lakeside! I look forwards to racing you or watching you race! See ya Friday night weather permitting!

We had a sprint car completely do a nose first flip high enough to clear the wing and landed back on its tires. Under the red flag the crew was able to fix the jacobs ladder and the shocks that where hurt and finish the race. This was on the first lap of the B feature. The car transfered to the A and finished out the A feature.

Darndest thing I had ever seen

A couple years ago we had a car we rolled 4 or 5 times and ended up upside down. WE pulled the engine out and pulled the plugs and turned it over by hand to push any oil out of the cylinders so it didnt hydrolock and bend a rod. Then put it in the new car and finished the year.
