anybody use a 4/7 swap cam yet? i have heard they are snake oil, and heard they help the bottom end last longer, and also heard that they smooth out the power band(no major torque spike).
anybody out there use one? how did it work? smoother power? no good?
thanks

Well if you are gonna do it, go all the way get the 4/7, 2/3 swap. Yes there is some to be gained on dry slick out of the hole.

I have heard HP wise not much difference except way up high. But I have been told that it is easier on the crankshaft because it loads it more evenly. Which translates into better life and I think thats where the smoother power comes from as well. But as to whether its worth spending the money just to get it, I doubt it unless your changing cams anyway, then try it, cant hurt anything.

What I've heard the experts say is power gains are very minimal, and it smooth's out the torque curve slightly.
