Have an 89 Caprice Classic 4 door with a 350 and 700r4 trans. Ran several enduros with the stock engine till it blew. Rebuilt the motor but changed to a carb setup. Now the stock linkage bracket does not allow the TV cable to hook up properly. I have tried the aftermarket chrome bracket (Super Sunny piece) and is does not work either. We only run in second gear for the enduros, so my question is this. Can the TV cable be set in a permanent position, or must it be regulated by the throttle action on the carb? I can build a custom bracket if that won't work, but then how do I adjust the TV cable so it doesn't burn up the tranny? Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
