Just fired a new motor for our family enduro car a few minutes ago. The motor seems very sluggish, but will idle. I am almost as far as I can go with the distributor counter clock wise (the vacuum advance is about to hit the intake). The more I move it in this direction, the better the motor runs. I am guessing I am a tooth off? Anybody agree with this? Heres the specs.
89 chevy 350, coverted to carb and mechanical distributor. Factory hydro roller cam (not changed for rebuild), flat tops stock vortech heads. 4bbl carb. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
